Glenn Has a Special Way of Making History Come to Life now with a Cinematic Look and Feel
Has New Life
Now more dramatic then ever! You students will see the pictures and hear his story. This is also a favorite for February or anytime of the year. Watch and listen as I tell Abe’s story from childhood to his presidency. As I tell Abraham Lincoln’s story I transform myself, and I put on theatrical makeup and with a finale I deliver the Gettysburg address as Abraham Lincoln. This is very entertaining as well as highly educational at the very same time. This show can be adapted to all grades.
Edgar Allen Poe’s haunting poems and chilling stories established him as one of the most important men of American literature. Behind his popularity and his successes was a personal life defined by broken hopes and failure. This show along with the stories of “The Raven” and “The Tale Tell Heart” tells Poe’s complete story, from the death of his parents when he was three to his tragic death at the age of forty. This show is offered only to Middle School and High School.
With a stirring musical underscore, the Hero of San Jacinto comes alive as Glenn transforms himself into Sam Houston. From boyhood to adulthood, the audience will take a journey and learn about this great Texas Hero. This show is great for Texas History Month or anytime of the year.
In February and March, Glenn will be offering a special on his popular Abraham Lincoln One Man Show. Digitally re-mastered his show will include new music, stunning visuals, and a state of the art look, powered by an iPod. Your students will not only be talking about how Glenn transformed himself to become Abraham Lincoln and how he deliver the Gettysburg Address, they will also talk about the way he used cool sound effects and an iPod as a part of his show.
You’ve heard of the old expression “Big things can come in small packages.” This statement is true, after telling stories for fifteen years, Glenn has noticed that as a storyteller, entertainer, and educator we teach students but in many cases we don’t make a connection with students.
Knowing and understanding that we live in a “Sight and Sound” generation, Glenn has a new style of communication. By using a video iPod Glenn will project images on a big screen behind him to help him better communicate his History and Science TAKS shows. “My goal is simple, I want to make an impact, and engage the students through the power of storytelling.”
